Tensing implements UT, an asset information solution based on the ESRI platform, at Westland Infra Netbeheer BV, a provider of construction, management, and operation services for gas and electric utilities in Westland, Netherlands. The second phase of the project for their gas business was recently completed. This project will both streamline operations at Westland and offer a repository for all their asset data.

To consolidate their data Westland chose ArcFM UT to house all of their asset data in one place. This will not only increase operational efficiencies but also the security of processes involving assets. Service quality will improve with more up to date asset data easily available to field technicians.

Tensing is an official business partner of ESRI with intimate knowledge of the ArcFM UT application. Utilizing a phase approach o the project Tensing has completed implementation of the electric and gas businesses. The next and final phase will include telemetry and will be completed later this year.

ArcFM UT is a powerful GIS solution for the Utility industry. The network data is completely stored in a commercially available Relational Database Management System so the data is also accessible for other business applications. This allows Westland to optimize business processes and provide the correct information to field workers and throughout divisions in their organization.

ArcFM UT is developed on the Esri ArcGIS platform. This platform is characterized by scalability, ranging from desktop to server and from fixed to mobile on various hardware platforms and operating systems.
